OVH Public Cloud is leading CloudScreener’s ranking
Following a worldwide launch in October 2015, the OVH Public Cloud offer is now ranked first in France by CloudScreener and has won second place in North America and Europe. The key factors behind this achievement: performance, security, flexibility and of course OVH’s very competitive rates.
Using a comparator, CloudScreener thoroughly assess the infrastructures of about 30 providers, including AWS, Google, Microsoft Azure and OVH by running a continuous series of tests with the various providers, thereby ensuring a long-term assessment instead of a snapshot. Each evaluation is based on several criteria, notably RAM, CPU or disk responsiveness.
« Being ranked first in France and second in North America and Europe is a recognition of our expertise in public cloud. This is a mature service relying on OVH’s own infrastructures, including its global fiber optic network and its datacenters, all the while benefitting from OVH’s technological know-how in terms of virtualization » explains Jean-Guillaume Burlet, Cloud Product Manager at OVH.
The offer was built around 3 major criteria: performance, security and reliability, which are also extremely important to users and to the CloudScreener comparator. This is why Public Cloud notably offers an anti-DDoS protection and triple replication in three datacenters, thereby ensuring a 99,999% Service Level Agreement (SLA). Moreover, clients can enjoy on-the-spot customization of their projects based a pay-per-use model. The service is also billed by the hour, thereby providing OVH with a highly competitive advantage in the public cloud arena.
